| The Redeemer
Quilters is a joint ministry of All Hallows’ Parish and Christ Church,
West River. Ten members from the two churches meet on Friday
mornings to create practical necessities for needy newborns,
children, and infirm adults. Other people working at home made pockets to attach to
walkers; and therapeutic heart pillows. Each baby christened at All Hallows or Christ
Church received a quilt. |

In 2007 they scored with 292 separate
items donated to 15 different organizations. This year they made 101 summer blankets
for a pre-school in Ghana for a mission project begun by St. James; and ten huge wall
hangings to beautify the walls of the Lula G. Scott Pre-Headstart program in Shady Side. |
